What happens when we fall in love, when we fall into rapture? Are we able to rise above and embrace a hopeless love? What happens when we are a man on fire, constantly burning, craving the infinity remains just out of reach? Stuart Buck explores all of this and more in his poetry collection, taking the reader with him on a journey of memory and longing. Poems that explore the late-night longing for company, poems that lift you into the rapture, gripping tight to a fleeting, flickering love that continues to disappear into the ether, poems that speak of dogs and burnt houses, and maps of lost love and childhood memories, of this deep searching for ourselves inside.

STUART BUCK  is a visual artist and award-winning poet living in North Wales. His art has been featured in several journals, as well as gracing the covers of several books.

Portrait of a Man on Fire, is his third poetry collection.

When he is not writing or reading poetry he likes to cook, juggle, and listen to music. He suffers terribly from tsundoku—the art of buying copious amounts of books that he will never read.

He is the art editor for kanstellation magazine and available for commissions all year round.

He can be contacted via Twitter or E-Mail.
